C-10 Roadster

It has been a long road to completing the C10 Roadster. It was worth all the time though. Building this truck has been fun, way better than sitting in the office! When I took my kiddos for a ride for the first time, floored it with all the noise and torque each one of them laughed, clapped and giggled then said “That was kinda scary … I want one when I can drive!”

We Bought a Chopped C10 Stepper

Super excited to start a new project and we found this sweet C10, already chopped!

Build Highlights

This build went through a bunch of changes as we built it.  We discovered things like hidden rust.  Prior owner had glued on new rockers over rotten ones and did a masterful job of hiding issues. So we had a much bigger problem on our hands than we expected from day one.

Design Changes

As we were working on this cab we found that the chop was bad.  Shocker, I know...  So it had to go!

Engine Bay

We bought the truck with a nice scoop but it simply sat on a riser on the carburetor. We thought this 350 needed some more grunt and put that scoop on top a supercharger and FiTech EFI system.

Finishing Up

It was worth all the time, changes and roadblocks when we went to a couple car shows and cruise-in’s and heard all the positive feedback, listened to people point out the different details they noticed and get to sit and talk cars with all my car nut brothers and sisters out there.

It was totally worth all the time spent when funny stuff happens like; I’m taking the truck to the gas station to top it off prior to this photo shoot and a mini car show breaks out with five different people checking it out. One guy says he saw me drive by and pull in to the gas station so he leans over to his wife and says, “I think we need gas”, pulls a U-turn parks next to the C10 Roadster and tells me he saw me pull in and had to stop to check out the truck. Car people are the best.

The C10 Roadster is complete and completely fun.
